Dankzij de provincie Limburg krijgt FYSL een productsubsidie van 2.500 euro! Ook The Sore Losers, The Galacticos, Kaat & Daan en Steppe krijgen een fijn steuntje in de rug!
Uit het juryrapport:
De groep is nog vrij jong, pas opgestart in 2008, maar passeerde al opgemerkt de concours Limbomania en Humo’s Rock Rally. Dat leverde belangrijke optredens op op podia zoals Trix, Depot, Rock Herk, Genk On Stage, Gentse Feesten en ModFest. Verscheidene bookers en platenlabels lieten al hun oog vallen op de band. Maar F*YSL opteert om zich voorlopig -en dat is geheel in de lijn van het advies van de jury van Humo’s Rock Rally 2010- toe te leggen op de verbetering van hun repertoire, intensieve repetities, studio-ervaring, preproductie, coaching.
F*YSL vraagt subsidie voor de samenstelling van een doordacht promopakket met daarin onder meer een drie nummers tellend ep'tje en een attractieve videoclip in een regie van Joost Wynant. Weliswaar nog vrij pril en nog volop in de weer met zijn professionele omkadering vindt de commissie productsteun nu al verantwoord. F*YSL is ambitieus en origineel en kiest als veelbelovende popgroep voor de realistische aanpak. De band heeft het voorbije jaar 2010 intens gesleuteld aan haar repertoire met feedback van een deskundig coach. De optimaal verspreide portfolio doet F*YSL opmerken in het landelijke popcircuit. Deze investering is slim, efficiënt, niet overhaast en speelt perfect in op de huidige gang van zaken in het promoten van poptalent.

Dear Friends,
Dankzij jullie mochten we een fantastisch 2010 beleven met als uitschieters het hoofdpodium van Rock Herk, supports voor De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig in een uitverkocht Depot en fantastisch Trix, Gentse Feesten en iets met ons lichaamsgewicht in bier...
Ook dit nieuwe jaar zullen we niet stilzitten. De pre-productie voor een eerste EP zit er momenteel op en we kunnen niet wachten om met dat nieuwe materiaal eind deze maand naar de studio te trekken. Beeld - en geluidsmateriaal van FYSL meerdere uren tussen vier muren zullen we u niet onthouden. Integendeel, we zullen dit subtiel door uw strot rammen in 2011...
Rest ons enkel u allen een über sjik en geil 2011 te wensen.

The Humo's Rock Rally adventure came to an abrupt ending for F*ck You Stupid Loser with the band just missing out on a place in the finals. Even self-proclaimed fan and Gorki frontman Luc De Vos couldn't convince the merciless jury in the legendary Vooruit in Ghent. "What went wrong?" we hear you ask. We might never know but it could have something to do with anxiousness combined with the (lack of) alcohol...
A big THANK YOU to everyone who supported us in Hasselt and Ghent and don't worry, because there are lots of upcoming gigs where you can get your FYSL-fix and the good thing is we get to play more than three songs!
